2007 Fender American Vintage ’62 Stratocaster AV62 in Sherwood Green

Up for sale, here’s a rare to find Fender AV62 (American Vintage ’62 Hot Rod) Stratocaster in a beautiful Sherwood Green Metallic. Made in Corona, CA USA in 2007. All original,

8.0 Lbs, which means lightweight for a Stratocaster.

The color is stunning, a beautiful Nitrocellulose finish in Sherwood Green Metallic, with a 3-ply Mint pickguard and rosewood fingerboard making a killer combination.

These AV62 Hot Rod were sort of limited run and are still sought after. It’s essentially exactly the same guitar, same specs than any other American Vintage ’62 except from a different neck profile, with a sweet a mid to chunkier (think of a Mid ’60s profile, neck thickness at 1st fret: 0.88″ and 0.97″ at 12th fret) with 9.5″ radius slab fretboard and medium Jumbo frets. Not everyone prefers the slim necks from the typical AV62 Strats and Fender responded to them with their later American Original ’60s Stratocaster, which has a similar profile with a veneer and transitional logo instead.

The instrument has been lightly used. Even with brand newly purchased American Vintage instruments could came from factory with minimal “finish issues” as explained by Fender. it’s in Excellent condition, with almost no visual defects and has been played or used with the utmost care. It’s currently strung with a fresh set of D’addario .010 – .046″ and it plays great. It comes with its Fender G&G Tweed hard case with its key in Excellent condition.
